Home on the plate
At the Wirtshaus zur Sonne, Franconian and Bavarian cuisine is served at its finest. Our classic dishes, such as Franconian Schäufele (pork shoulder) with dumplings, a succulent roast pork, or regional fish, are prepared with care using local ingredients. For those who prefer a more modern approach, we also offer dishes like our homemade burgers, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
We serve Augustiner beer, freshly tapped and, on special occasions, even directly from the wooden barrel. Our selection is complemented by fine wines that perfectly pair with our dishes and complete the dining experience.

Our wine list offers selected top Franconian and regional wines, including those from the Sack winery.
Finally, we recommend fine distillates from Lantenhammer, handcrafted and of exceptional quality.
To preserve this tradition, we are a member of the Association for the Preservation of Bavarian Inn Culture. Because that is precisely our aim: honest cuisine, good beer, and warm hospitality, just as an inn should be.

In the heart of Dinkelsbühl's historic old town
From May to October we welcome you in our large beer garden directly in front of our inn at the Weinmarkt.
Enjoy summer hours outdoors, surrounded by the historic facades of Dinkelsbühl.
A freshly tapped Augustiner beer, accompanied by our Franconian classics or a light snack – that's what summer in the sun tastes like.
