WELCOME TO SONNE
In the heart of Dinkelsbühl’s Old Town, Sonne brings together what is rarely found under one roof: a Bavarian tavern with honest Franconian cuisine, and a 4-star hotel offering modern comfort and historic charm.
In our tavern, we serve regional specialties and freshly tapped Augustiner beer, delivered directly from Munich. As an official Augustiner tavern and member of the Association for the Preservation of Bavarian Tavern Culture, we stand for quality, craftsmanship, and genuine hospitality.
Our hotel comprises three buildings with around thirty individually designed rooms. Each room reflects the character of the historic building, thoughtfully furnished, and equipped with everything to make your stay special.
Run by the Engelhardt family, Sonne is now a place where guests love to visit, relax, and stay—open 364 days a year, right in one of Germany’s most
beautiful Old Towns.
